Development of technologies for the makeup and manufacturing of safe heat exchange products

Strategic research and development project.

Grupo ECO 3G has participated in the management of the R+D+i project “DEVELOPMENT OF TECHNOLOGIES FOR THE MAKEUP AND MANUFACTURE OF SAFE HEAT EXCHANGE PRODUCTS” with the Galician company INDUSTRIAS TECNICAS DE GALICIA, S.A (INTEGASA).

The general objective of the project is to develop an advanced solution for the design and development of heat exchange solutions within the field of security and more specifically in those linked to energy, through its application to a strategic product at a commercial level in INTEGASA such as the heat exchanger. The final deliverable of the project will be a catalog of double tube heat exchangers, which will be non-marketable prototypes arising from specific hardware, software and simulation tools, which will be necessary to achieve the best response in a framework as complicated as that of security energetic. This project has had an international presence in the testing phase, which has allowed ECO 3G to get closer to companies in France at that stage, but also to open up to suppliers from Portugal, whose materials have been studied in the project and which have allowed a first business contact.

The project has been financed by the Center for Technological and Industrial Development (CDTI) and has been successfully developed during the period from March 16, 2017 to March 14, 2022 and has had the support of the University of Vigo in its technical section.

Years of experience and knowledge in the sector of pressure vessels and shell and tube heat exchangers have brought the design and engineering of INTEGASA, Industrias Técnicas de Galicia S.A., to a high technical level and to be considered as a benchmark, also internationally. The company was founded in Vigo in 1974 and its main fields of application are aimed at areas such as marine, chemical, petrochemical, refrigeration and power generation. It has the most advanced tools, the most up-to-date design software support and a qualified team of engineers and professionals constantly evolving to develop and optimize each project.
